I am innocent: Durga Shakti Nagpal

Suspended IAS Officer Durga Shakti Nagpal has replied to the chargesheet served by the Uttar Pradesh government saying that she is innocent and was only following the Supreme Court order while demolishing the wall of a mosque.
In her reply to the chargesheet served on August 4, the IAS officer also dismissed the state government's allegations that her action could have sparked off communal tension saying that she had informed villagers on an earlier occasion as well about the illegality of the religious structure.
The Uttar Pradesh government had served a chargesheet to Nagpal alleging that she did not follow legal process in demolishing the wall of a mosque in a village in the state. The chargesheet reportedly stated that the SDM went to the site even though there was no tension in the area over the construction of the mosque. Sources said the chargesheet also said that Durga lacked administrative skills. She has been asked to reply to the chargesheet in 15 days.
